Welcome to Queen Bee Boxing; the first Women’s Boxing Club in Hertfordshire.

We specialise in beginners boxing for fitness classes in St Albans and Watford, with the aim of helping women of all ages to unleash their power.

Our fully qualified, female boxing coaches will teach you to punch properly using proper technique.  You will also learn footwork, defence and ring IQ, and sport specific drills.

This is more than just boxercise. Our classes will make you fitter, stronger and more powerful. You will look and feel incredible.

We know how annoying life can be! So, come along to a class and let off some steam, (and maybe some rage) in a safe and supportive environment.

We welcome women of all ages from 13 plus. Our Queen Bees include daughters and mothers and grandmothers… sometimes it’s a real family affair!

Whether you are a looking to try boxing for the first time, get in shape, or you’re just in need of a bit of a boost, we will help you discover an inner strength and confidence you didn’t know you had.

Our Classes

Queen Bee Boxing has come to St Albans and Watford and already our members are feeling more powerful, more confident and better able to handle themselves and anything anyone throws at them.

Sure it’s an incredible workout, but boxing will also improve your life in so many ways. You’re gonna feel more confident, braver, much less stressed and more connected to who you really are.

Our classes run for 60 minutes and, for the most part, take place in an authentic boxing gym on the outskirts of St Albans.

There’s no contact and no sparring, so there is no risk or danger involved.

You will be working on the heavy bags and pads, learning to perfect your punches, build your ring IQ and dazzle with fancy footwork. You will also have plenty of opportunity to punch out your rage and let out all your stress and frustration.

If you’ve lost your mojo, you’re in need of a confidence boost, or you’re just looking for a fun way to let off steam and burn a shed load of calories- come and join us!

🥊 Feel stronger inside and out.
🥊 Feel better able to handle what life throws at you.
🥊 Feel calmer and less irritated
🥊 Feel able to express yourself
🥊 Feel fitter and get leaner

What People Are Saying

“Loved this class! Really fun and enjoyable class! Felt strong after! Nadia and Izzy are both amazing – 100% highly recommend to any ladies keen on boxing exercise without feeling intimidated or uncomfortable!”

“I was dreading it as I’m usually a gentle exercise type of person. But, I ended up loving it! Nadia and Izzy did a great job. It was like a warm friendly hug wrapping around the stuff I need to do – core strength and getting my pent up aggression out! I will be booking again!”

“Loved this class. Great exercise and supportive environment. I was a total beginner but they’re good at catering to different levels of experience.”

Questions

Nope! If you have your own boxing gloves and wraps absolutely bring them with you, if not we have plenty for you to use. (Cleaned after every use, of course.)
Comfy workout clothes you feel good in! It’s not a fashion show, so please don’t worry. Please note, no outdoor shoes are allowed on the mats so please either bring clean indoor shoes to change into, boxing boots, or bare foot/socks is absolutely fine. Also, the gym is giving industrial vibes… it’s not heated or air conditioned so please wear layers. You might be a little chilly to start, but you’re going to warm up considerably during the session.
We will be punching bags, not each other! There will be no sparring just bag work, foot work, drills, technique, conditioning and potentially partner drill work. You won’t be holding pads for people so there’s no need to worry about your shoulders being punched off! Please be aware, however, that like any sport there is always a risk of rolled ankles etc so we ask every one to fill out a PAR-Q and waiver before attending our classes.

If you have an injury or a medical condition we ask that you be signed off to participate in boxing specific exercise by a GP or physio (depending on what the concern is) to avoid any further damage or illness. If you have limited mobility we will do our best to adapt exercises for you.

YES! All women are welcome. Whether you have trained before, never even put on gym kit, have no clue about boxing or you’ve already fallen in love with the sweet science, Queen Bee Boxing is for you. Our classes are a safe place to come and let off steam, find an outlet, get fit, improve your mental health, meet new people and of course, learn to box!

Yes, there is plenty of parking at both our locations. There is a car park on the industrial estate where our St Albans classes are held. Our Watford venue has plenty of on street parking near the gym.

A towel, a bottle of water, boxing gloves and wraps if you have them (don’t worry if not), indoor trainers / boxing boots / just sports socks

Once you have registered and paid for a class, you are committed to attending.

If you need to reschedule a booking, we ask that you do so within 24 hours of the class taking place.

Registrations for our classes are non-transferable. You cannot transfer your registration to another individual.

If you arrive late for a class, you may not be allowed to participate, and no refunds or credits will be issued.

In the event of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances that force us to cancel a class, we will do our best to reschedule the class.

Please be aware, there are no showers or specific changing facilities on site. There is a toilet though!
Our classes are suitable for women aged 13+. We are DBS checked and fully trained, but if your daughter would like to attend and she is aged 13-16, we ask that you accompany her to the gym, and either wait near by, or in the waiting area.
